1、 Exhibition Overview

VIETBUILD, the Vietnam International Building Materials and Home Furnishings Exhibition, is organized by AFC Exhibition Company, sponsored by the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and the governments of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. It is a large-scale and professional international exhibition in the building materials industry in Vietnam, held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in spring and autumn each year. This exhibition was founded in 1958 and plays an important role in the targeted development of Vietnam's construction industry. It provides a good platform for domestic and foreign exhibitors to cooperate in various areas such as economic cooperation, technology transfer, investment, trade negotiations, import and export trade, and product agency. 2、 Market Introduction

Vietnam is a socialist country in Asia and will become one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia in the future. According to customs data statistics, in May 2017, the bilateral trade volume between China and Vietnam was 6.749 billion US dollars, a slight decrease of 0.6% compared to the previous month. Vietnam remains China's second largest trading partner in ASEAN. China's exports to Vietnam reached 5.145 billion US dollars, a decrease of 1.9% compared to the previous period; China imported 1.604 billion US dollars from Vietnam, a month on month increase of 3.7%. In the next 5-10 years, it is planned to invest 140 billion US dollars in infrastructure construction, and the demand for building materials is booming with huge business opportunities. However, due to Vietnam's weak industrial foundation, outdated production processes, insufficient research and development capabilities for new products, and weak price competitiveness, the Vietnamese building materials market has mostly relied on imports so far. In recent years, Chinese materials such as coatings, natural stone, wooden flooring, sanitary ware, kitchenware, sealing materials, building hardware, fire-fighting equipment and materials have continuously entered the Vietnamese market.
